Le programme pour ce cours de 2 jour(s) en Anglais

Covid-19, climate change & the 4th industrial revolution clearly highlight a world in transition with severe impacts on our businesses models and the need to be prepared. Move your organisation from crisis management to “Enterprise-wide risk management” today and be prepared for tomorrow's challenges.

The course and the learning outcome

Enterprise risk management (ERM) in business includes the methods and processes used by organisations to manage external and internal risks and seize opportunities related to the achievement of their objectives.

ERM provides a framework for risk management assessing them in terms of likelihood and magnitude of impact, determining a response strategy, and monitoring progress.

By identifying and proactively addressing risks and opportunities, business enterprises protect and create value for their stakeholders, including owners, employees, customers, regulators, and society overall.

This 2 day intensive and highly practical program will give you a thorough grounding in the methodologies behind enterprise-wide risk management. We learn:

  • The ERM framework of risk management and developing an appropriate structure
  • Understanding enterprise risk as an opportunity or threat
  • Overview of risk and types of risk
  • How to get started with ERM and how far do you want to go?
  • Learn the technique of risk identification techniques and scoring
  • Getting buy-in from the very top of the organisation
  • The techniques of risk assessment and risk monitoring tools
  • What do we mean by financial risk and the different types of risk?
  • Managing operational and infrastructure risk
  • The risk of strategy and the market place
  • Managing your reputation and hazard risk
  • How to initiate the project, the financing, and monitoring

How organisations respond today, using informed ERM mechanisms and scenario planning, can make a significant impact on continued viability, and can position your company favorably for the economic upturn.

Enterprise Risk Management Models - David L. Olson, Desheng Dash Wu
Enterprise Risk Management Models - David L. Olson, Desheng Dash Wu

This book offers a comprehensive guide to several aspects of risk, including information systems, disaster management, supply chain and disaster management perspectives. A major portion of the book is devoted to presenting a number of operations research models that have been (or could be) applied to enterprise supply risk management, especially from the supply chain perspective. Each chapter of this book can be used as a stand-alone module on a respective topic, with dedicated examples, definitions and discussion notes. This book comes at a time when the world is increasingly challenged by different forms of risk and how to manage them. Events of the 21st Century have made enterprise risk management even more critical. Risks such as suspicions surrounding top-management structures, financial and technology bubbles (especially since 2008), as well as the risk posed by terrorism, such as the 9/11 attacks in the U.S. as well as more recent events in France, Belgium, and other European countries, have a tremendous impact on many facets of business. Businesses, in fact, exist to cope with risk in their area of specialization.
